JRS programmes in the Middle East

Programmes

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in the Middle East region seeks to accompany, serve, and advocate the cause of refugees, other forcibly displaced people, and vulnerable local communities in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, that they may heal, learn, and determine their own future.

We provide:

  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services.
  • Safe, gender-responsive learning environments across all levels.
  • Access to livelihood opportunities and vocational training.
  • Supportive, protective spaces for youth and adults.
  • Primary healthcare programs.
  • Advocacy and awareness-raising initiatives.
  • Programs fostering reconciliation between refugee and host communities and with local authorities.
  • Emergency relief and assistance.
